Best Fruit Bread - Easy, No Knead, and Delicious
Fruit cake is a classic dessert that is made with a mixture of fresh fruits and spices, and is prepared throughout the year with seasonal fruits. This no-knead bread cake can be prepared in under an hour and pairs really well with a hot cup of coffee or tea, or even with freshly whipped cream or a scoop of ice cream.

- ¾ cup Strawberries chopped
- ¾ cup Peaches peeled and chopped
- ¾ cup Sugar
- 1 large Egg
- 2 teaspoon Sour Cream
- 1 cup Whole milk
- 1.5 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- ¼ cup Butter
- 2 cup All purpose flour
- ¼ teaspoon Cinnamon powder
- 1 teaspoon Baking soda
- ½ teaspoon Salt
Step 1
In a bowl, add chopped strawberries, peaches, 2 teaspoon of sugar, mix well and keep it aside for 15 minutes or till you prepare the batter.
¾ cup Strawberries, ¾ cup Peaches, ¾ cup Sugar
This is done so that the juices are released from the fruit.
Step 2
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease the baking pan.
In a large bowl, whisk together the egg, butter, and sugar until they are well combined.
¾ cup Sugar, 1 large Egg, ¼ cup Butter
Now whisk together sour cream, whole milk, and vanilla extract.
2 teaspoon Sour Cream, 1 cup Whole milk, 1.5 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Add in the dry ingredients - all purpose flour, cinnamon powder, baking soda, salt and gently mix so that there are no lumps. Do not over mix the batter.
2 cup All purpose flour, ¼ teaspoon Cinnamon powder, 1 teaspoon Baking soda, ½ teaspoon Salt
Now fold in the strawberry and peach mixture.
Step 3
Bake for about 50 minutes to 1 hour or until done. That is toothpick or knife inserted comes out clean. My oven took exactly 55 minutes to bake this.
You can place an aluminum foil half way through to avoid the top from developing dark brown color.
Allow it to cool down completely even before you slice them.
Fruit Bread is now ready. Serve and enjoy.
- Use any fruit combination of your choice.
- You can also substitute vegetable oil with butter or coconut oil. I have used oil in the recipe because it keeps the bread softer.
- You may vary the amount of sugar depending on the sweetness of the fruit.
