Mango Mastani | Mango Shake | Milkshake With Ice Cream

Mango Mastani | Mango Shake is a rich, thick and creamy drink topped with ice cream, dry fruits, nuts, and freshly chopped mango chunks. A delightful drink for all mango lovers.
This mango milkshake with ice cream is a popular street food recipe from Pune, named after the famous Bajirao’s wife Mastani. You can prepare this in 5 mins!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Mango , ripe, chopped, and chilled
  • 1 ½ cup Ice cream , preferably mango flavored, 2 to 3 scoops approx
  • 1 ½ cup Milk , chilled
  • Sugar (optional) depending on the sweetness of mango and ice cream

For garnish and toppings

  • 4 scoops Icecream (Mango or Vanilla or Pistachio flavors)
  • 2 tablespoon Almond , sliced
  • 2 tablespoon Pistachio , sliced
  • 2 tablespoon Raisins
  • ½ cup Mango , chunks, for garnish

Instructions

  • In a blender or mixer or juicer, add chilled mangoes, ice cream, milk, and blend until smooth. Check for sweetness and add sugar only if needed. Please do not add any water while blending.
    3 cups Mango, 1 ½ cup Ice cream, 1 ½ cup Milk, Sugar
  • The consistency of this drink should be thick and creamy. Till you are ready to serve, keep it in the refrigerator.
  • When you are ready to serve, pour ¾ of the serving glass with prepared milkshake, then add a scoop of ice cream, and garnish it with almonds, pistachios, raisins and some more mango chunks.
    4 scoops Icecream, 2 tablespoon Almond, 2 tablespoon Pistachio, 2 tablespoon Raisins, ½ cup Mango

Notes

  • Use thick full-fat milk or whole milk to make this drink.
  • Make sure the mangoes are ripe and sweet, not sour.
  • The color of the drink varies depending on the color of the mango.
  • See that mangoes or mango puree and milk are chilled for better results.
  • I want to make it a full mango treat and thus add mango ice cream. However, vanilla ice cream is commonly added. If you don’t have ice cream you can even make this drink with whipped cream.
  • Adding sugar is totally optional. Depending on the sweetness of mangoes and ice cream, vary the amount of sugar.
  • You can also garnish it with tutti frutti, glazed cherries, saffron or kesar, cashewnuts, whipped cream, etc.
