- 600 grams Potatoes
- 1 tablespoon Oil
- 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 2 cups Yogurt or Dahi
- 2 to 3 Green chilies, finely chopped
- Salt or Rock Salt or Sendha Namak, to taste
- ½ teaspoon Roasted Coriander Powder (Can use curry powder or garam masala powder or chaat masala)
- 1 tablespoon Coriander leaves
Peel off the potato skin and cut them into cubes. Then cook the potatoes using your preferred method (stovetop, pressure cooker, instant pot, or microwave).
600 grams Potatoes
I like to cook the potatoes in the microwave for 4 minutes.
Heat oil in a pan on medium flame, add cumin seeds and saute for a few seconds.
1 tablespoon Oil, 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
Add the boiled potatoes and ½ teaspoon salt, and saute it for 3 to 4 minutes until it becomes light in color. Now slightly mash a few potatoes and switch off the flame. Check out the video here. In another bowl, add fresh yogurt or dahi and nicely whisk until it is smooth. To this, add green chilies, ¼ teaspoon salt, coriander powder, and coriander leaves, and mix.
2 cups Yogurt or Dahi, 2 to 3 Green chilies, finely chopped, Salt or Rock Salt or Sendha Namak, to taste, ½ teaspoon Roasted Coriander Powder, 1 tablespoon Coriander leaves
Now add the cooked potatoes and mix until everything is combined.
Garnish it with more coriander leaves and coriander powder if desired.
