Equipment

Ingredients

  • 24 Bread Slices (use any bread of your choice)
  • ½ cup Pizza sauce
  • 200 grams Mozzarella cheese, grated
  • 36 Black olives

Instructions

How to make spiders from olives?

  • Cut some olives lengthwise into halves and use them as the spider's body. Cut some more olives into halves (not lengthwise) and use these as the head.
    36 Black olives
  • Next, cut some more olives lengthwise into halves, and then each half into thin slices to make spider legs.
  • You can see from the pictures that I have placed a few olives over the pizza (to form spiders) before baking and a few after baking. I recommend arranging the olives over the pizza after baking, or else the olives will drift apart when the cheese melts in the oven.

Arrange the base

  • Using a cookie cutter or round-shaped bowl or lid of a container, cut bread slices into rounds and keep them aside. You can use leftover sides of the bread in other recipes such as bread pudding, bread upma, croutons, bread crumbs, etc.

Notes

  • You can use fried mushrooms, corn, paneer or spinach to make these coin pizzas.
  • Try our coin margherita pizza made using traditional pizza dough.
  • Drizzle olive oil for extra flavor.

Coin bread pizza on Stovetop (Tawa)

  • Heat pan (tava / griddle/skillet) on medium-low flame. Place the coin bread slices. Once hot, flip and switch off the flame to avoid burning. Spread the pizza sauce, followed by grated cheese. Cover the pan with a lid.
  • Turn on the flame to medium-low and cook until the cheese melts.
  • Remove them from the pan and transfer them to a serving tray. Arrange the olives over each coin pizza like spiders. Serve and enjoy.

Coin bread pizza on Airfryer

  • Preheat your air fryer to 350 degrees F. Spread the pizza sauce on top of the bread slices, followed by mozzarella cheese. Air fry for 5 minutes or until the cheese melts and the bottom becomes golden.
  • Remove them and arrange the olives like spiders. Serve and enjoy.
