Oven-baked Chicken Thighs are one of the simplest yet delicious family-friendly recipes that can be prepared in 30 minutes. The chicken thighs are crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. Serve them with salads or roasted vegetables for a complete meal. Ingredients

  • 800 grams Chicken thighs 6 to 8 chicken thighs bone-in & skinless
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 ½ tablespoon of Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 ½ teaspoon Red chile powder
  • 1 tablespoon Cilantro or parsley freshly chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • ¼ cup Brown sugar
  • ¼ cup Oil I have used coconut oil.

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.
  • Add the juice of lemon, salt, ginger garlic paste, red chile powder, Cilantro, Italian seasoning, and brown sugar, and whisk. Now add the chicken thighs to the same bowl and mix so that they are coated well on both sides.
    800 grams Chicken thighs, Juice of 1 lemon, 1 ½ teaspoon Salt, 1 ½ tablespoon of Ginger garlic paste, 1 ½ teaspoon Red chile powder, 1 tablespoon Cilantro or parsley, 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning, ¼ cup Brown sugar
  • Arrange the chicken thighs on a single layer on cast-iron skillet or baking dish.
  • Pour oil over the chicken thighs.
    ¼ cup Oil
  • Bake the thighs for about 25-30 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165 and the exterior turns crispier. You can baste around 15 minute mark if need.

Notes

  • Any leftovers can be stored in the fridge in an airtight container for 3 to 4 days. You can also freeze them for up to 3 months.
  • You can use garlic powder and grated ginger instead of paste in the recipe.
  • Melted butter can be substituted for coconut oil.
  • See that the thighs develop a charred look like barbecue chicken for the best taste and flavor.
  • You can skip the spices and add what you like. You cannot go wrong with this oven-baked recipe.
  • As a meal prep, you can even marinate the chicken thighs in seasoning and keep them in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to bake.
