Transfer it to a bowl. To this, add heavy cream and mix. Now add rum in 2 tablespoon increments or as needed until it holds its shape. Full video here. 2 tablespoon Heavy cream, 3 to 4 tablespoon Rum
Take one tablespoon of mixture between your palms and roll them into balls. Roll each ball into sprinkles or cocoa powder. Refrigerate for at least 24 hours before serving for the best flavor.
Sprinkles
- If you feel the rum ball mixture is too soft and not holding its shape, crush and add more cookies to the mixture. On the other hand, if you are not able to form balls, add more cream or rum until it is able to hold its shape.
- I had Oreo cookies with cream, and thus I did not add any confectioners sugar. You can use vanilla wafers or graham crackers instead of Oreos and add confectioners sugar along with some cocoa powder to make rum balls.
- Instead of almonds, pecans, walnuts, or cashews can be used.
- You can use bourbon or whiskey instead of rum.
