Ingredients

  • 1 Mango , cubed
  • ¼ cup Sugar
  • ¼ cup Water
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Ice cubes
  • Sparkling water or Soda
  • Mint leaves , for garnish

How to make the best mango margarita drink at home?

  • In a blender, add mango cubes and blend them to form a smooth puree.

  • In a small pot, add sugar and water and boil until sugar dissolves completely to form a simple sugar syrup.

  • In each serving glass, add 2 tablespoon of mango puree, 2 tablespoon of sugar syrup, and juice of ½ lemon, and give it a stir. Add crushed ice or ice cubes. To this, add the soda or sparkling water and stir. Garnish it with mint leaves if desired.

Notes

  • For best results, use fresh mangoes to make the puree.
  • Adjust sugar and lime (or lemon) to taste.
  • I love to use soda or sparkling water. You can even use a Sprite.
  • You can mix mango puree, sugar syrup, and lemon juice and keep it in the refrigerator for up to 3 to 4 days. When you are ready to drink, pour it into a serving glass, add soda, mix and enjoy.
Recipe for adult version or alcoholic mango margarita cocktail:
Follow the same recipe given above. Just add 3 oz or 90 ml of tequila and 1 oz or 30 ml of Triple Sec or Cointreau. Adjust the amount of liquor as per your preference.
