Notes

Expert Chef Tips

  1. For the blueberry puree, wash and add blueberries with little water in a blender, and blend it to a smooth puree.
  2. Add sugar or any other sweetener for desired sweetness if using plain soda water. You can also use Sprite or other similarly flavored fizzy drinks.
  3. You can add any fresh fruit of your choice.
  4. You can add a splash of rum to make this drink alcoholic.

Make ahead and Storage Instructions.

  • If you are making a large batch of blueberry mojito pitcher, first muddle together fresh/thawed blueberries and mint leaves. To this, add blueberry puree/compote, sweetener (simple syrup), and lemon juice, and mix well. Store this in the refrigerator for up to 3 to 4 days.
  • When ready to serve, add a portion of the above mixture to the serving glass, add crushed ice and white rum (for the cocktail version), and top it with sparkling water. Garnish with a sprig of mint leaves and enjoy!
