Expert Chef Tips
- For the blueberry puree, wash and add blueberries with little water in a blender, and blend it to a smooth puree.
- Add sugar or any other sweetener for desired sweetness if using plain soda water. You can also use Sprite or other similarly flavored fizzy drinks.
- You can add any fresh fruit of your choice.
- You can add a splash of rum to make this drink alcoholic.
Make ahead and Storage Instructions.
- If you are making a large batch of blueberry mojito pitcher, first muddle together fresh/thawed blueberries and mint leaves. To this, add blueberry puree/compote, sweetener (simple syrup), and lemon juice, and mix well. Store this in the refrigerator for up to 3 to 4 days.
- When ready to serve, add a portion of the above mixture to the serving glass, add crushed ice and white rum (for the cocktail version), and top it with sparkling water. Garnish with a sprig of mint leaves and enjoy!
