Avil Milk | Simple Sweet Drink
Avil Milk is a popular and traditional Kerala-style sweet drink made with flattened rice (poha), chilled milk, banana, and nuts. This recipe is ready in under 10 minutes and is perfect for a healthy breakfast, a snack, or a festive drink.

- 1 cup Poha thin
- 4 Bananas small or 2 large
- 2 to 3 tablespoon Sugar
- ½ cup Ice cubes optional
- 1 tablespoon Basil seed
- ¼ cup Peanuts roasted
- 2 tablespoon Raisins
- 1 to 1 ½ cups Milk
Preparation
Sauté poha on medium flame until light golden and crispy.

In a bowl, add the bananas, sugar, and ice cubes, and mash them nicely.
4 Bananas, 2 to 3 tablespoon Sugar, ½ cup Ice cubes
Soak 1 tablespoon of basil seed in ½ cup of water.

Assemble
Add mashed banana, roasted flattened rice, soaked basil seeds, and nuts. Add chilled milk and mix until combined and creamy.
¼ cup Peanuts, 2 tablespoon Raisins, 1 to 1 ½ cups Milk
Garnish with additional nuts and toasted flattened rice.
