In a bowl, add warm milk and sugar, and mix well. Sprinkle yeast and leave it undisturbed for 10 minutes.
½ cup + 1 tablespoon Milk, 2 ¼ teaspoon Active dry yeast, 1 tablespoon Sugar
Add flour, salt and knead it using hands till combined. Add butter and continue kneading for good 10 minutes till you get a soft and smooth dough. Kneading the dough well will give you soft and fluffy bread.
2 cups All-purpose flour, ¾ teaspoon Salt, 3 tablespoon Butter
Cover the dough and keep it aside for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Transfer the dough to the working surface. Using your palm, press gently to form a circle or oval shape of 8-inch diameter. Cover it and let it rest for 10 minutes - this is optional.
After 10 minutes, using a sharp knife, score the bread into square or crisscross pattern. Leave ½ inch towards the edge. Check the video on the making of cheesy garlic bread here. In another bowl, add all the ingredients mentioned under garlic sauce and mix until combined. Smear this on top of the bread and then insert mozzarella cheese in between the creases of the scored dough.
2 tablespoon Butter, ½ to 1 teaspoon Garlic powder, 1 teaspoon Garlic, 1 tablespoon Mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon Spring onion, ½ to ¾ cup Mozzarella cheese
Bake in 350 degrees F preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until cheese has melted and becomes bubbly. If you want golden brown color on top, broil for 1 or 2 minutes. The baking time may vary for every single oven.
Remove garlic cheese bread from the oven and let it sit for another 5 minutes. Serve warm, not hot, to get the actual taste, flavor and enjoy your bread.
