Heat oil in a pan on a medium flame. Add cumin seeds and saute until fragrant.

Add chicken thighs, turmeric powder, and red chile powder, and fry for 5 to 6 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.

Add onions to the same pan and saute for about 5 minutes.

Add garlic cloves and ginger chopped and saute for 3 to 4 minutes.

Add the fried chicken, green chilies, and cilantro and mix well.

Add garam masala powder and salt, and mix.

Now add tomato slices and mix well. Cover and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
