Easy Drop Biscuits - 5 Ingredients Only

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups All purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 stick Butter 8 tbsp, cold and cubed
  • ¾ cup Milk check substiutute

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and keep it aside.
  • Add flour, baking powder, and salt to a bowl and mix well.
    1 ½ cups All purpose flour , 1 teaspoon Salt , 2 teaspoon Baking powder
  • Add the cold cubes of butter and rub them into the flour until it resembles coarse meal.

  • Now, slowly add the milk to form a moist, sticky, and shaggy dough.
    ¾ cup Milk
  • Use a tablespoon or a cookie scoop to mound the dough into balls onto the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake the biscuits for about 15 to 17 minutes
  • Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

  • Store any leftovers in an air-tight conatiner for 2 to 3 days and in a freezer for months. Reheat in the oven for the best texture.
  • If you undermix the butter into the flour, the biscuits will be dry and not tender, and if you overmix, the biscuits will be tough.
  • Based on the size of the biscuits, the baking time may slightly vary.
  • Instead of milk, buttermilk, cream, or egg can also be used as a liquid for binding.
  • But the texture will be different.
