Ingredients

Traditional Modak Ingredients

  • 2 cups Coconut grated
  • 1 cup Jaggery powder or grated
  • ¼ teaspoon Cardamom powder
  • 2 tablespoon Ghee
  • 1 cup Rice flour
  • 1 ½ cups Water approx, check steps
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt adjust to taste

Instructions

  • The filling made using coconut and jaggery for steamed modak can also be used to make other sweets like sweet poha, gujiya, patholi, kayi holige. The outer covering is what gets changed.
