Eggless Dates Cake is a super delicious, soft and moist cake that is a perfect accompaniment for your tea or coffee.
The nutty flavor of dates combined with almonds, raisins and cashews takes it to the next level. Date and nut cake or date and walnut coffee cake is one of the popular recipe in Asian countries specially during holidays like Christmas and Easter.
This cake is so addictive that it will disappear in matter of seconds. So please don't forget to reserve a piece for you!
I prepare this cake often as it is one of the easiest cake to bake. If you want to learn baking, this is the best cake that you can try out.
You can also make this vegan and bake into 2 date loaf cake. The color of the cake may vary from what you see here depending on the dates that you have used. But that's ok because the taste of the cake is going to be just awesome.

I’m wondering if this even need the 1 cup of sugar? Dates are very sweet to begin with. I am pre diabetic & sadly can not tolerate any sugar substitute except sweet n low and not sure how to even measure for that since it’s definitely not a 1 to 1 swap substitution.
Any ideas or suggestions greatly appreciated
Kushi
Based on the sweetness of the dates you can reduce the sugar as desired in the recipe.
