    If you are looking for a perfectly moist and flavorful cake, this apple walnut cake is all you need. This easy apple walnut cake requires simple ingredients and delivers bakery-style results. Loaded with fresh apples, toasted walnuts, and warm cinnamon, this is ideal for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and cozy fall and holiday baking.

    Ingredients

    Apples: Soft and moist texture, fruit flavor, and natural sweetness. You can use Fuji, Gala, Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, etc.

    Walnuts: Add crunch and nutty flavor, best when toasted.

    Flour: Forms structure.

    Baking soda: helps the cake rise, making it soft and fluffy.

    Step-by-step instructions

    Mixing dry and wet ingredients to make the cake.
    • Preheat the oven to 305 degrees  (175 degrees C).F.
    • Grease a bread loaf pan or line it with parchment paper, and set it aside.
    • To a bowl, add flour, brown sugar, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon powder. Mix all the dry ingredients together.
    • In another bowl, whisk together butter, yogurt, and eggs. Now add the dry ingredients to this and whisk until just combined.
    • Scrape the sides of the bowl.

    • Add the apples and walnuts, and fold them into the batter.
    • Transfer to a cake pan and top with some walnuts (optional).
    • Bake for 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
    Bake the cake for 50 minutes.
    • Let it cool for 10 minutes. Then transfer it to a wire rack. Once cooled completely, slice and enjoy.
    • Store in an airtight container for 2-3 days or refrigerate for longer freshness.
