Virgin Mojito is a classic and refreshing non-alcoholic mocktail drink packed with lemon and mint flavors that adults and kids will love.
This Mojito is one of my family's favorite drinks we make throughout the year, but more frequently during summer. Classic Virgin Mint Mojito is always my favorite, but I love to try variations and use seasonal fruits while making a mojito.
So today, I am sharing two ways of making a mojito
- Classic virgin mojito
- Mango virgin mojito
What are the ingredients used to make mojito at home?
Mint leaves or Pudina
Lemon or Lime
Sugar (or honey)
Crushed ice
Sparkling water (soda)
You can skip the sugar and sparkling water and use sprite or ginger ale if desired.
How to make crushed ice at home?
Add the ice cubes to the blender and pulse until you get ice chunks of the desired size.
How to make the best virgin mojito at home?
Muddling - mashing the lemon or lime wedges along with mint leaves releases the flavor and oil from both mint and lemon, which gives all the flavor needed for your drink. Later you add lime juice just for the taste if desired.
I do not have a muddler. What can I use to muddle?
A wooden spoon or wooden rolling pin is the best alternative to the muddler.

Making of Classic Mint Virgin Mojito
In a serving glass, add lemon wedges, mint leaves, and muddle. Note: add lemon wedges and not juice here because we want the oil and flavor from the lemon rind along with oil from mint leaves which makes this drink extra delicious.
Add sugar powder and crushed ice, fill the serving glass with sparkling water or soda as required, and garnish it with mint leaves and lemon wedges.
Making of Mango Virgin Mojito
In a serving glass, add lemon wedges, mint leaves, mango cubes, and muddle.
To this, add sugar, lemon juice, crushed ice, and fill with sparkling water or soda and garnish with lemon wedges, mango cubes, and mint leaves.
How to make a mojito cocktail drink?
To make the alcoholic version of this drink, add 2 oz rum while adding sparkling water.
Other variations for mojito
Instead of mangoes, you can use fresh berries like raspberries, strawberries, and blueberries.
If you love peaches, then feel free to make a peach mojito.
Now, if you want to try something spicy, add jalapeno slices. This is going to be spicy, and the kick is just so different.
Some of my other favorite summer drink recipes include
- Mango Margarita (Mango Lemonade)
- Orange Shakeup
- Falooda (Icecream float)
- Dulce de Leche Milkshake
- Raspberry Lemonade without Simple Syrup
