- ½ Lime or lemon juice

Blanch green beans
- Cook the green beans in a large pot of salted boiling water for 4 to 6 minutes or until tender yet crisp and bright green.16 oz Green beans
- Drain and rinse under cold water. This helps retain the green color and also to stop cooking further.
Toast the almonds
- Add butter to pan on medium heat. Once the butter melts, add almonds with salt and saute until it becomes light in color and crispy.3 tablespoon Butter, ½ cup Almonds, ¼ teaspoon Salt
- Add garlic and saute for 30 seconds to a minute, and switch off the flame.5 Garlic cloves
