- You can put them in a colander and wash and drain them immediately. Use a damp paper towel to remove any dirt if you still find any after a quick wash. Now chop the mushrooms lengthwise.
- Add olive oil and garlic cloves in a non-stick pan and saute in medium flame until garlic becomes light golden in color. Do this on medium to medium-low flame. This step gives unique flavor when done right.
- Now add the onion and a pinch of salt, and saute till the onion becomes translucent.
- Next, add the chopped mushrooms and saute for 4 to 6 minutes till they are cooked and develop some color.
- Add seasoning, pepper flakes, cream, salt, and pepper powder, and bring this to a nice boil and simmer for 3 to 5 minutes.
- Finally, add the grated parmesan cheese and mix. Garnish it with cilantro or parsley if desired.
