Recipe FAQs
Thermometer: An oil temperature of 350 degrees F would be perfect for frying chicken wings, making the outer skin crispier while the inside remains juicy.
Wooden spoon: Dip the wooden spoon in the oil, and the oil should bubble around the wood, which means it is ready for frying.
If you don't have a wooden spoon or thermometer, sprinkle flour. It should sizzle immediately in oil, which oil is ready for frying.
If oil is too hot, the wings will get brown faster, and if it is too cold, then the wings will absorb excess oil.
Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F. Spread the wings on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the internal temperature of the wings is around 165 degrees F.
