- Brush the top of the risen bread loaf with honey and sprinkle some old-fashioned rolled oats on top.
- Bake for about 35 to 40 minutes until it is nicely golden brown in color.
- Allow it to cool down even before you slice.

Notes
- You may have to increase or decrease the flour in the recipe based on the weather conditions.
- During winter, for warmer temperatures, preheat the oven to 150 degrees F, turn off the oven, and then rest the dough.
- Baking time varies based on the oven. If the bread starts getting brown on one side, only then rotate the pan. Else, cover it with aluminum foil and continue baking.
- To make this bread vegan, use agave nectar or maple syrup instead of honey and plant-based milk for regular ones.
- Nuts, seeds, or dried fruits can be added while making the dough for additional flavor and texture.
- You can use only water or only milk for a rich version or combine the two as we did.
Nutrition
Honey oat bread
- Honey oat bread is amazingly delicious, light, and sweetened with honey. The addition of rolled oats adds earthy flavor and also keeps the bread tender.
- You can use oatmeal bread to make sandwiches or toast, perfect with your favorite jam or butter, serve it with scrambled eggs, or use leftovers to make French toast.
- To make this bread vegan, substitute honey with agave or sugar and milk with dairy-free milk like soy, almond, or coconut milk. Try our popular oats wheat chapati if you want unleavened flatbread with oats.
Ingredients
Liquid: You can use only water or only milk for a rich version or combine the two as we did.
Flour: Regular all-purpose flour works well for this bread. You can make it 100 % whole wheat, but note that bread will have a dense texture.
Oats: Rolled oats or old-fashioned oats work the best.
Honey: Adds moisture and sweetness.
Yeast: Helps the bread rise.
Salt: balances the flavor.
