    Why you'll love this recipe?

    1. Strawberry toasts are super easy to put together.
    2. The recipe is very flexible - you can use your either Nutella/Peanut Butter and any fruits of your choice.
    3. You can have it any time of the day. This is the best and quickest way to satisfy your hunger pangs.
    4. If you use whole-grain bread toast, it will keep you full for a longer time, which is very important on a busy working day, and pairs well with a cup of coffee or tea.

    Ingredients

    Ingredients for strawberry toast

Bread: Use your favorite bread while making the toast. White bread, brown bread, sourdough bread, whole-grain bread, Vienna bread, Zopf, etc., will work well for this recipe. Toast it on your pop-up toaster, oven, or skillet (tawa).

Peanut butter and Nutella: Both Nutella and Peanut butter are our all-time favorites, and we always have jars of these nut butters in our pantry. Even crunchy peanut butter works here.

Strawberries: Use juicy fresh strawberries while making strawberry toast.

Mint leaves: Mint leaves add a burst of freshness when you take a bite of this toast. Strawberry and mint are one of the best flavor combinations that I highly recommend you try.

See the recipe card below for a full list of ingredients and measurements.

    Variations and Substitutions

    • Feel free to substitute peanut butter with almond butter or cashew butter.
    • Love Lotus biscoff spread? Then use it instead of nut butter or Nutella.
    • Are you a cheese fan? You can use mascarpone, cottage cheese, or cream cheese instead of nut butter.
    • You can whip ricotta cheese using a hand-held blender until light and airy and use it to make ricotta strawberry toast. All other steps remain the same.
    • If you love an additional crunch in your toast, add chia seeds, or toasted sesame seeds, or pistachios.
    • Goat cheese also pairs well with strawberries.
    • For additional flavor, you can even sprinkle cocoa powder on top.
    • If using cheese instead of nut butter to make strawberry toast, you can even drizzle balsamic vinegar for flavor.
    • You can substitute mint leaves with basil leaves.

    Recipe FAQs

Is Peanut Butter Toast good for weight loss?

Peanut butter is high in protein, making you feel full and promoting fat loss. When peanut butter is paired with whole-grain toast, you'll get a sufficient amount of protein and dietary fiber - both of which are good for weight loss.

    What tastes good with Nutella?

Fruits such as Bananas, Strawberries, Mangoes, Apple, etc., taste good with Nutella. Nutella also pairs really well with toasted bread, as opposed to untoasted bread, in easy Nutella crescent rolls, quick Nutella crepes, cookies, and more.

Is Peanut Butter healthier than Nutella?

Peanut butter is lower in sugar, higher in protein, and lower in unhealthy fats, compared with Nutella. But an occasional indulgence with Nutella is absolutely allowed in my books!

Is peanut butter toast and fruit a healthy breakfast?

The combination of peanut butter and fruits like banana and strawberries is great for breakfast, mid-snack, or after-school snacks as it provides essential healthy fats and protein along with a serving of fruit.

There are very few things in life that can't be made better with a little peanut butter. This recipe looks scrumptious and I appreciate that it comes together really quickly - great breakfast option!

I'm not someone who adds fruit on their toast normally. Recently I've started putting banana on my peanut butter toast. While I don't know how this would taste, I have to say that you have piqued my interest, and I'm going to have to try this out! Great post xxx
