Tips
- Because my kids love mangoes and mango recipes, I have not added jalapeno to avoid the heat. Instead, I added green bell pepper. If you are not serving this for kids, add jalapeno, habanero, or serrano to make it spicy.

Recipe FAQS
Salsa tastes the best when made fresh and served within 24 hours. However, you can refrigerate for 4 to 5 if there are any leftovers which I doubt as they are so delicious and addictive.
Homemade mango salsa can also be kept in the freezer for two months. Note that the texture will change as the fruit and veggies won't be firm as when made fresh. A little more water may be released from veggies and fruits in the conatiner once the salsa returns to room temperature. Drain the extra juice before using it as a dip for chips.
Any ripe mangoes will work for mango salsa. See that they are fresh, sweet, and juicy. Unripe ones will not taste good for salsa. Frozen mangoes can be used, but the texture of the salsa will be different from the fresh ones.
Yes! You can make this salsa ahead of time and store it in an airtight conatiner in the refrigerator. This also gives a chance for flavors to mingle.
Salsa is a mixture of fresh vegetables like onion, pepper, lime juice, jalapeno, cilantro, and herbs, while chutney is a condiment that uses vinegar along with vegetables and sometimes garlic to enhance the dish's flavor.
