About Peach Fritters Recipe
Peach is one of our favorite fruits, and we love them in any form - fresh, canned, frozen, or as compote/jam. Whenever this fruit is fresh and succulent and on sale, I buy them in big batches. I have tried almost all the recipes that I can do with this fruit.
I love making apple fritters at home. But with our kids' activities, we hardly get time for anything. So for a change, we recently got some apple fritters from a local bakery. We had a very bad experience. It's either too sweet, too oily, or not fresh. So we decided not to buy store-bought fritters anymore and instead make them at home.
These fritters can be deep-fried in oil, baked, or air fried. Once they are fried and have cooled down a bit, drizzle a simple vanilla-sugar glaze over them, or dust them with powdered sugar, or roll them in fine granulated sugar or cinnamon sugar. The options are endless.
Make these bite-size peach fritters at home, and I am sure you will never buy the store-bought (bakery) ones, plus there won't be any left. So make sure you reserve some for yourself before you serve.
These are also great food items to make for your 4th of July potluck parties. Whenever I attend office potluck parties, I like to make my famous patriotic berry pie, America's favorite Apple Pie, and a batch of delicious apple fritters and these mouth-watering peach fritters so that everyone, including kids, gets to try something different and delicious.

Expert Chef Tips
- You can also coat with cinnamon sugar or just sprinkle powdered sugar instead of glaze if desired.
- The time to cook fritters may vary depending on the size of the fritter.
- Do not overcrowd the pan. Depending on the size of the pan, adjust the number and size of the fritters.
- See that the oil is not too hot or too cold (should be between 330 degrees F to 365 F). If it is too hot then the fritters will turn dark brown very quickly and will not be cooked inside, and if its too cold it will absorb excess oil.
- To check if the oil is hot, just drop a little piece of the batter mix and check if it sizzles and comes up.
- Storage Instructions - You can store leftover fritters in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a day and in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 days. Before serving, reheat them for 8 to 10 minutes in a preheated 350 degrees F oven. Drizzle more glaze if needed.
