Welcome to Cook with Kushiβa food blog on simple and easy cooking recipes you can easily make in your kitchen.
Hi, I'm Sridevi! I am a Software Engineer by qualification, a full-time Food Blogger by passion, a self-published Author, and a mom to 2 handsome young boys.
How it all started
I am from a small town and grew up helping my mom in the kitchen during my school days. With my mom, my cooking passion grew more. The best part I saw in her was her ease with cooking traditional Konkani recipes, from khotto (steamed idli village style), undi (rice balls) to patholi or doodhpak (goddi), and her ability to make multiple items quickly without compromising taste.
After my marriage, I was thrilled and excited when I started cooking on my own; I began trying out recipes from different cuisines worldwide with my variations to it. My husband, who also loves cooking and is famous for his chicken biryani, supports me a lot in my little kitchen "experiments," he is also my best critic. Some of these dishes have created lovely memories for both of us. We started noting down the recipes, clicked a few photos, and my blog Cook with Kushi was born!
What will you find on Cook with Kushi
- Being a Konkani, I intensely love the food I ate growing up. So you will see traditional recipes from Konkani cuisine like kotto (idli in jackfruit leaves), temple-style gashi, panchkadayi (popular one), Mangalore banana buns, dailtoy, karkala temple-style patrode, and more.
- For Indians outside the country, when you miss home food, popular festivals, and special occasions and crave authentic recipes, I have covered you all. You can start with traditional Indian breakfast recipes, popular Indian sweets and desserts, or healthy Indian evening snacks.
- Simple and delicious baking recipes that I have tested in my kitchen. I have been baking for the last ten years, and you will see a lot of homemade bread, from easy French baguettes and Austrian Vienna bread loaves to Italian rosemary garlic focaccia bread, baked treats, and casseroles for dinner and holidays. Baking is such a beautiful process that will make you fall in love with cooking.
- I have been cooking for ten years now and being a mom of 2 kids. I know how every minute counts. So simple yet delicious meals with easy steps and shortcuts are what you will love in this blog.
